No, I’m not talking about the Cedar Island project off Lebanon’s coast; I’m talking about the Lebanon Island project off Dubai’s coast. Indian national, Mr. Wakheel Ahmed, the owner of the island plans to construct:
…a resort comprising 76 suites, 10 water cottages, a health club, a swimming pool, restaurants and suite rooms.
Work on the project is expected to begin next month.
Though, it doesn’t really sound like Lebanon, right? Where are the minuscule road ‘networks’ (I use that word ever so loosely) and the building-to-building neighborhoods? What about the nice and shiny smokestack power plants that primarily produce smoke with electricity as a by-product?
Oh well, I guess you can’t beat the original design.
They haven’t finished building those islands?! Do you know when they expect to finish all the islands?

I agree with Serpico that they haven’t yet completed the construction of the islands so we can’t predict anything now.I hope that I will get the further updates on this construction as soon as possible.

You’ll never get the full story on those islands until buildings start popping up. Though, I am extremely curious to know how the basic infrastructure is going to work: water, sewage, power. It seems kind of pointless to build these islands and then have hundreds of pipes to the mainland just to provide the basic neccessities.
