There is apparently a “Little Beirut” in Seattle, Washington in the US, but don’t hold your breathe, its no “Little Italy“:
After a months-long investigation by the Seattle Police Department, the city is attempting to shut down Lake City bar owned by a former federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officer.

According to documents provided by the city, the Rose Garden—which sits on the edge of the North Seattle neighborhood known to area residents and police as “Little Beirut”—there were ten violent incidents at the bar in the first nine months of 2008.
To the people of Seattle, I bestow on you the “Looks Like Beirut” Award. Congratulations.

most of the resident of little beirut are black –
a large % of the people who are out at night in front of the park are black,
high and loud, completely disregarding all the apt houses that surround them,
[where many of their families live] and they also go back into the wooded area behind the park to light up their crack/crank pipes, and there has NEVER been an spd patrol back there of any attempt to fence this dangerous place off –
the city who pays spd, who does not care about doing an honest job,
allows this to continue at the expense of hundreds of honest, quiet residents –
