A murder inquiry has been launched after a man died following a street fight involving baseball bats and metal bars in Elgin early yesterday [June 24].[…]
[A local resident], who was travelling to work just a few hours after the incident, added: “I was here about 6.15am, and the police had blocked off the road. One car had a smashed window and windscreen.
“I spoke to some quines who said that a couple of groups were basically trying to murder each other. Stuff had been going on since the previous evening, with people being chased.
“It must have been like Beirut in Lesmurdie Road, and the people in the area will be traumatised.”
