Some reassuring news from Beirut Airport: they don’t have enough fuel to get planes to their destinations:
A fuel shortage caused by a defective fuel shipment prompted Beirut’s international airport to supply airlines with just half their normal daily allotment, airport and civil aviation authorities said Wednesday.
Airport officials said incoming airlines would be asked to carry more fuel on their flights so that they would not need to refuel in Beirut.
Plus add to the fact that the fuel storage tanks are only a third full and we definitely have issues. “Come tourists to Lebanon where you can drink all day and party all night, oh, but please bring fuel with you if you plan to leave.” How pathetic, we are rationing fuel like we ration electricity.
