The people behind the Flip the Switch campaign on Facebook are reporting that the raved-about new Internet speeds to hit Lebanon on October 1st may not materialize:
Sorry but I just got inside info from the government and the internet change won’t happen on october 1 and it might be along time untill we see the flip of the switch and I’m sorry if I can’t share more info becuz its confidental….
This may or may not be linked to the halt in 3G services though I suspect its no coincidence that both the planned upgrade of Lebanon’s internet infrastructure and the improved data mobile networks seem to have hit a speed bump.
