The “Looks Like Beirut” Award goes to the people of Springhead in the UK:
Frustrated residents today listed a catalogue of misery which has turned their road into “Beirut.”
Homes and bungalows on Belmont Avenue, Springhead, have been marooned by giant holes, exposing gas and water mains, and others have had entrances to garages blocked by excavations and barricades.
Like a broken record, their poor community looks like a war-zone which automatically makes it look like Beirut.
