It may be true that Beirut is in the midst of a construction boom, however I would have thought the image of a road in tatters due to the construction of a metro system would be more similar to Dubai rather than to the Lebanese capital. Bella Jaisinghani of the Times of India however doesn’t think so:

Along J P Road in Andheri, which seems to belong in Beirut owing to the construction of the Metro Rail project, an archway leading to Creado House welcomes members of the public for the annual ‘Andhericha Kuber Ganpati’. Aside from the fact that the location itself is a deterrent to many, a pretty pink veil conceals the entrance of the mandap.

Construction mayhem, that’s got to be Beirut, right? I mean take a look at the picture below:
