Homeland may be using Tel Aviv to depict Beirut however, Indian director Kabir Khan has decided to choose Beirut to depict, well, I am not really sure yet:
Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are in Beirut, Lebanon shooting for Kabir Khan’s
untitledPhantom film and few photos from the set has been unveiled which shows the couple shooting an action sequence for the film. Saif was blooded and Katrina too was spotted with injuries and bruises. They donned a rugged look and there were blasts and gunfire around.
There isn’t much information on what the film is about, though some reports mention it is a spy thriller / war film while others mention that its a post 2008 Mumbai Terror Attack counter-terrorism drama. Nevertheless, this is what Kabir Khan had to say about the city:
