Over the past year or so, I have been using photos of  Beirut to accompany my Looks Like Beirut posts. These photos have been made available thanks to the Creative Commons-licensed photos posted by users on Flickr. Through a recent search, I came across a photo with a very interesting title: Beirut? Here is the photo:

Beirut?

What does a photo taken in Stockholm, Sweden have to do with Beirut? The description that accompanies the title explains it all.

Nope, the house has not been on fire. It is a relatively new building designed with an odd facade that probably should look like black/grey leaves if you take a closer look.

Actual Beirut

Of course it’s not the first fire-Beirut analogy that I’ve come across but in all honesty, the connection is just mind-boggling. With this post, I thought it would be best to recap the actual Beirut photos that have appeared on this blog over the past year.
