Congratulations to The Fifth Wheel for winning Best Company at this year’s INJAZ Young Entrepreneur Competition 2010 which took place in Morocco. The Lebanese team from St. Joseph School took on 12 other Arab teams to win the coveted title:

The criteria on which the student companies were graded included their ability to demonstrate sound business acumen, financial knowledge, marketing support and feasibility studies.  Students spent three days showcasing their products, presenting to the public, and had a private and quite rigourous Q&A session with the judges.

They actually came up with a very simple product called Carmate, a package of in-car essentials:

…a handmade car kit […] that has needed objects (emergency numbers, basic first aid kit, pen, sticky notes…etc) inside it to make the car ride much simpler.

Sounds really simple, right? I guess you really don’t need an immensely complicated product to to be crowned the champions. Though a more imagainative product name would have been better (I highly doubt you’d be able to Google information on product successfully).
