Basically, the guardian.co.uk has a section where people can write in about their crap holidays, in a section they intuitively called, My Crap Holiday. Phil Snowdon from Wrexham, North Wales has submitted his own entry in reference to his “vacation” to Kusadasi, Turkey.

Unfortunately though, he was not the one who made the “Looks Like Beirut” comment:

…I was unfortunate enough to be sitting next to a rather large perspiring Yorkshireman. On seeing the first drop-off point – at some rather shabby-looking apartments – he happened to declare that the place looked more like Beirut without the war than the idealistic holiday destination that we had booked…

Well, Mr. Sweaty Yorkshireman, you clearly have very little knowledge of the world around you and I’m happy to see that you are spending your hard earned cash on pathetic holidays. As for your comment on Beirut, I’m glad your holiday was rotten, I hope that you suffer from crappy holidays for the rest of your life.
