In what can be described as incredible luck, a girl’s decision to stay up late instead of heading to bed has saved her life:
A driver plows through the front gate of an apartment complex, clips one unit, then flips the truck into another early Monday morning.
“It look like Beirut out here.” said James Barber Jr., as his daughter wept uncontrollably behind him. “We’re all lucky to be alive.”
That may have been a huge understatement, because Barber was standing directly in front of, where just moments ago, a truck sliced through his daughter’s bedroom.
Now that I’ve said what I wanted to say about the whole “miracles of life” stuff, I don’t understand the Beirut dis. Car crashes into two homes and now the area looks like Beirut? I can’t even comprehend what James is trying to depict.
