…Europe needs to open its purse to set-up a helpdesk at the Beirut Court:

The Help Desk will help citizens to find their way around in the Court of Beirut and provide them with administrative information on locations of courts, organigrammes and deadlines.

“This automated centre is a sample of what will be done in the remaining courts in the other regions, in order to link judicial information, sessions’ schedules and the direct distribution of work through the Internet with the ordinary citizen,” Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar said at the inauguration. This is a relatively small part of the programme of modernising and automating the courts, and we all know that the needs of courts are numerous, such as assistance and buildings which must be made available as soon as possible.”
