Badoo.com has released their own study on the top ten cities that do not sleep. The survey was done by analyzing online chat activity in the wee-hours of the morning. Here are the top ten nocturnal cities:
- Cairo, Egypt
- Montevideo, Uruguay
- Beirut, Lebanon
- Malaga, Spain
- Zaragoza, Spain
- Madrid, Spain
- Barcelona, Spain
- Valencia, Spain
- Seville, Spain
- Buenos Aires, Argentina
As you can see, Spain dominates the list. The residents of one city are crying foul especially as the city is know as “the city that never sleeps” – New York City. It ranked 32nd on the list, tied with Marseilles, Palermo, and Montreal. And it gets worse for NYC:
Almost every European capital came ahead of New York, with London ranking 17th, Paris 18th, Rome 27th, Lisbon 15th, and even Brussels, commonly thought of as being a sleepy bureaucratic town, came in 11th place in the ranking by the social networking site Badoo.com.
Beirut a nocturnal city, who would have guessed.
Considering population- we should be number 1 😛 I do not accept this 3rd place garbage 😀 Lebanon awalan.
All we need to do is get more people to log on to their FB chat or whatnot after midnight and we should be on our way to the top spot. 😉
Lebanon can also be ranked #1 for “gaming the system.” 🙂
