CNN has an intriguing article on where important people in Washington D.C. eat. Everyone from senators, lobbyists, administration officials, even Supreme Court justices, like Justice Sonia Sotomayor who doesn’t go for the Italian and American dishes her colleagues at the capital lunch at on a regular basis. No she, according to her friends, likes to take “risks”:
The newest member of the Supreme Court, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, is known by friends as a “very adventurous diner.” She is a fan of Lebanese Taverna, in Woodley Park, which serves up Middle Eastern fare.
Though I am not sure if they are referring to the food as “adventurous” or that she’s chosen an Arab restaurant to increase those calories.

A couple of my friends used to work in this restaurant, and when I went a couple of times to DC I tried it out. It is actually a very nice place with excellent food. Even when Michel Aoun visited the congress in 2005 he ate there! 🙂
