We are all pretty much on the same page that driving in Beirut is bad to say the least. As Marina Chamma puts it:

It may be true but Letterman sure does deserve a looks like Beirut certificate.

It’s sadly true. Though, i don’t like how everybody keep referring to Beirut when they want to give an example on any negative subject..
I saw this via a friend on Facebook. Before watching the video I thought, cool, David Letterman has been to Beirut and is sharing his experiences, but from the video this is clearly a “looks like Beirut” situation. If the Letterman show had even shown the video in the YouTube clip it would have been pretty funny but it looks like the video clip was just added in later and not actually on the show.
I agree Lindsay, it seems that the video was added and never part of the show. Thanks for the vote that it would clearly be a ‘Looks Like Beirut” moment. We’ll just have to see if the certificate reaches David Letterman.
I agree that the Letterman comment is borderline LLB but I guess it can be argued that negative comparisons always involve BEY
