I guess I must have missed that memo but the go-to blog on wars (past, present and future) has issued what it describes as Israel’s attack plan in its next war with Lebanon in a post titled Israel Tells Lebanon How It Will Be Destroyed.
…Israel plans to use a larger force (4-5 combat divisions, versus three in 2006, and more than twice as many aircraft and many more commandos.) The next war would involve doing a lot more damage to Hezbollah, in a shorter period of time. The earlier war lasted 34 days. Since 2006, Hezbollah has acquired more power (via its control of about a third of the voters) in the Lebanese government. Thus the new plan involves doing a lot more damage to the rest of Lebanon, and the Lebanese armed forces. Israel wants all Lebanese to know that they are partly responsible for Hezbollah continuing to exist.
Anyone shaking in their sandals? Didn’t think so. The blog goes on to give a warped history lesson about Lebanon and Hezbollah, and how we fear Israel but are afraid of taking on Hezbollah for fear of the repercussions and therefore we must die.
I honestly love how the site simplifies everything; as if the whole thing is going to be a walk in the park for the Israelis. Quite naive in my opinion kind of like the objectives the Israelis set in the 2006 war. Just as the post rightly acknowledges that Israel has learned a lot from 2006, if fails to reciprocate that so have we. My personal opinion is that unless there is a balance of terror on both sides (i.e. we can match Israel’s firepower) then war is inevitable, but to pretend that you can dictate actions on the battlefield and predict their outcomes shows not more than pure gullibility and failure to fully understand events on the ground.
Israel isn’t going to attack Lebanon.
However, you should be worried about the Iranian inplant you have there.
I’m sure there’s more than just “Iranian implants” we need to keep an eye out for. Maybe we can blame the ridiculously high housing prices on an influx of intelligence agents.
Thanks to Hezbollah, Israel’s constant military aggression against Lebanon is now limited to overflights!
Until we have a deterrence against warplanes.

Jad, what are you talking about????? Please post where it can be verified. It is wrong to pass on un documented stories on the words of hate mongers.
I’m just trying to highlight how it seems that every Bob, Dick and Harry has their own war theories and carry their own crystal ball in their back pockets.

Jad: I know you to be a fair and honest man. But your comments did not relay what you say your intentions were. It left the impression that Israel was warning Lebanon it was going to destroy the country. There is so much hate and wrong doing being spread around about both the PLO and Israel, that it is important that things should be checked before they but on line.
I think there is a misunderstanding. Threats from Israel towards Lebanon are real. The Israeli Administration and Military officials were quite vocal during the first quarter of the year. Israeli media is well monitored in Lebanon and every other week we’d always hear from them that Lebanon would be destroyed in the next war, Lebanon will be knocked back into the stone ages, Lebanese infrastructure will be the first target in a new war….and it went on and on. Only after intervention by the Europeans did things quiet down. Nevertheless, calm exists between the borders. Why is that? Israel has the firepower to make their threats real; Hezbollah also has the ability to attack Israel but they don’t. It’s because the cost of a conflict is high – neither side wants to risk a new conflict – similar to the situation between the Koreas. Personally, I believe this is great because it allows time for the peace process to get going (eventually). In the end, the peace process is the only way out of the cycle of violence.
