Bognor Regis resident Caroline Wilson is worried about crime in her small seaside resort town off the coast of south coast of England. So she decided to take action: she created a Facebook group which now stands at 3,000 members. Its nice when people take action within their own community, right? But when people start talking stupid about things they have very little info on, then it kind of drowns out their cause:

“Some of the younger people who have contacted me are scared to even go out. This should be a lovely, small seaside town and yet it’s turning into Beirut.”

What a sad, ill-informed comment. You’d think Caroline would know better than to use such a stupid comparison. As you can see, we too have a lovely seaside city (OK, its not a town but that is beside the point). You can only dream that Bognor Regis could ever even compete with Beirut.
